Meet Alice...
I’ve had a lifelong passion for good food that nourishes my body. But it wasn’t until I had children and had to juggle their needs and my career that I started to look at food differently – life gets busy! I started to meal plan, research quick, nutritious recipes and batch cook.
When they started school, I realised I needed more ‘me’ time, I wasn’t as fit as I had been pre children and I craved a bit of time to myself; my needs came right at the bottom of the list!
Sound familiar?
I’d enjoyed running when I was younger and needed to do something that I could do from my doorstep as time was a factor.
I did couch to 5k and can honestly say I never looked back. Fast forward a few years and running became more than a hobby, I entered a few events and began running competitively.
Good nutrition became crucial, both for myself and the complex dietary needs of my children! I had to learn more about what to cook to ensure we all ate the right things, and, most importantly, find ways to achieve this that were easy and quick, as time was limited.
I’ve always enjoyed sharing my passion for nutritious food with friends and family and cooking is something I do to relax, but I realise that this is not the case for everyone.
I decided to re-train to learn the fundamentals of food and nutrition so I could work with others to find ways that they could change their habits around food, make changes to their diet, and develop healthy habits.
Essentially, eat to thrive.
